Our fortune with free sites has once again turned sideways. I am hoping that everyone finds their way here. I intend to send a group message to everyone who has ever registered at our Yuku location, which may or may not help. If our members are like me, they no longer have the contact information from when they first joined. So, here is hoping for the best.
Why are we moving here? I have a top-notch computer and guys who keep it running well, but I am also experiencing the problems that some of you have shared with me.

There are a few more good reasons to move here, but for the sake of anything, I simply cannot remember them right now. So, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. My preference is that our members, at least the core ones, have lots of control of what we do here.

Why are we moving here? I have a top-notch computer and guys who keep it running well, but I am also experiencing the problems that some of you have shared with me.
They include, but are not limited to:
- The site freezes for no apparent reason.
- Re-directors are causing script problems. Your computer can freeze for a few minutes until whatever has gone wonky resolves. It is very frustrating and Yuku does not seem to have a solution.
- The ads, that keep forums like this free, have been a problem for a few members, although I have not experienced this particular issue. This Proboard forum will also have ads, I have no intention of paying to be ad-free, so we will have to see is anything goes awry.
- Aside from writing code, I had done as much as possible there, but some members thought that our site was too, ummm, I guess not professional looking. I just began here yesterday and can already see that there are many more options here and that they are easier to use. Go figure; I thought they were all alike.
- Our Yuku site had too many forums and it is far past time to simplify that mess. I will be keeping all of our archives and putting that information on pages. Given how messy all those previous postings got, I am not sure that I will be able to put everything in proper order, but at the least it will not be any more weird. Hoping.
